We offer flexible hours that fit studies, childcare and other commitments, including adhoc coaching or set weekly patterns such as Thursday–Sunday, Tuesday–Saturday or Monday–Friday.
About Us: Munchkin Sports is a leading early-years and youth sports provider, introducing more than 4,000 children to sport each week. Our imaginative, creative approach builds confidence, coordination, teamwork and enjoyment of movement. For over a decade, we’ve delivered PE lessons, wraparound care, after school clubs, weekend sports, parties and holiday camps across South East London. We are growing and investing in enthusiastic coaches ready to take the next step.
About The Role: This role is ideal for someone ready to lead. You’ll deliver high-quality sessions for children aged 3–11, support junior coaches, communicate with families and schools, and help maintain safe, inclusive environments. Activities range from PE lessons and after school clubs to weekend sports and holiday camps. You’ll also contribute to training, standards and programme development.
A Typical Day:
- 09:00 – Catford Base — Team briefing and daily plan
- 10:00–12:00 – Plan & Prepare — Build session plans, collect equipment
- 12:00–13:00 – Lunch
- 13:00 – Travel — Head to school or venue
- 14:00 – Set-Up — Layout circuits, games and resources
- 14:30 – Deliver Sessions — Lead activities, support assistants, ensure fun and safety
- 16:30 – Pack Down — Sign children out, return kit, debrief or finish on site
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver PE, after school clubs, weekend programmes and holiday camps
- Lead fun, inclusive sessions for ages 3–11
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and school staff
- Maintain a safe, supportive and structured learning environment
- Mentor junior coaches and assist with onboarding
- Transport, organise and manage equipment
- Communicate professionally with all stakeholders
- Uphold safeguarding, health & safety and behaviour standards
- Positively represent Munchkin Sports at all times
Who We’re Looking For:
- Confident working with children
- Experience in sports coaching, teaching or youth activity roles
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Energetic leader comfortable managing groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organised and adaptable
- Passionate about youth development
- Able to travel to Catford and throughout Bromley/South East London
