Primary Purpose
To assist with the smooth running of the technical department and carry out all designated tasks. To ensure that the product quality & safety standards are maintained at all times and that the manufactured products meet the brand/customer’s specifications and are legally compliant in all aspects. To ensure that the factory is audit ready at all times and the strict GMP standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing site.
Job Role and Main Duties
- Maintain site’s HACCP documentation for product quality.
- Carry out daily quality inspections and audits, and raise any non-conformances against the agreed standards, specification and/or procedures, and ensure appropriate action is identified, actions carried out and documented as required.
- Complete all required quality control documentation for compliance against BRC, customer and site specific quality standards.
- Carry out scheduled auditing of Glass, Hygiene, Good Manufacturing Practice and Buildings to agreed schedule.
- Carry out verification checks on calibrated measuring equipment as per schedule.
- Set up and conduct daily taste panel sampling and shelf life monitoring.
- Arrange for samples/swabs to be sent to the lab as per schedule.
- Manage complaints and investigate non-conformances and applying corrective actions where required.
- Ensure that up to date specifications and third party accreditation certificates are held on file.
- Ensure product specifications and production paperwork are available.
- Monitor incoming goods to ensure compliance with the agreed specification and company temperature requirements where applicable.
- Monitor and ensure despatched finished products are in compliance.
- Maintain site’s pest management documentation and ensure recommendations made by the contractor are carried out in a timely manner.
- Carry out tasks within your capability and deemed necessary by the Technical Manager.
