We are on the hunt for a highly organised, proactive People & Workplace Operations Manager to join Mumsnet. You will work closely with the leadership team to keep our workplace running smoothly, support our people and ensure our operations are efficient, compliant and cost-effective.

If you enjoy variety, take pride in keeping things running well and like being the calm, capable person teams rely on, this role could be a great fit.

Who we are

Mumsnet is the UK's biggest website for parents, and our purpose is to make their lives easier. We have some of the busiest forums in Europe, with users offering each other advice and support 24/7. We want to be indispensably useful for parents, and a great place to work.

Why work for us?

We focus on steady, sustainable growth, putting purpose before profit. We expect great performance, agility and collaboration in every role; cross-team working with talented, clever people is the best part of life at Mumsnet. Most importantly, we are looking for candidates with a growth mindset.

We embraced flexible and home working a long time before COVID, and we care much more about outputs than hours on the clock. We don’t only want to hire the best people: we want to retain them. If you need some flexibility, let us know and we’ll do our best.

We are committed to diversity and equality and we think we’re second to none in the all-round support we offer to parents and carers at work. Working for Mumsnet means never having to pretend you don’t have a family or other commitments.

What you’ll be doing

  • Workplace & Office Management: Keep the office running smoothly as the main point of contact for onsite queries. Manage post, supplies, equipment requests and facilities providers. Coordinate in-office meetings, food/drinks and maintain a welcoming, well-organised workspace.
  • People Operations & HR Admin: Support onboarding and offboarding, including HR system updates, account setup and equipment preparation. Coordinate appraisal cycles, organise new-starter lunches and assist with employee queries. Handle confidential HR documentation and day-to-day People Ops admin.
  • G-Suite Administration: Manage employee access to shared drives and files, ensuring permissions remain accurate and secure.
  • Legal Operations: Draft and maintain contract templates (NDAs, T&Cs, freelancer agreements). Review commercial contracts and manage trademark renewals and IP records.
  • Board & Investor Support: Maintain the cap table and governance records. Prepare KPI packs, board agendas, board papers and minutes on schedule.
  • General Operations & Cost Management: Track and drive cost-saving initiatives and manage supplier renewals. Improve operational processes, documentation and systems across the business.
  • Executive Support: Manage the CEO's diary, meetings, travel and daily workflow. Prepare documents, correspondence and logistics for media or external events. Maintain organised records and ensure the CEO has what they need, when they need it.

Requirements

  • Experience in operations, office management, HR admin, executive support or a similarly broad role.

  • Comfortable with HR systems, G-Suite and operational tools.
  • A team-first approach with a genuine interest in helping people do their best work.
