Mumsnet is looking for a Freelance Community Manager to join our brilliant community team. We need someone with an excellent command of English who'll thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment – and who, crucially, has a very good sense of humour. You'll be a calm, decisive presence in the middle of the internet's liveliest parenting forum: a first-rate problem solver with a bucketload of common sense, sound judgement, and the ability to make nuanced calls when things get complicated. Familiarity with Mumsnet's forums and ethos is a big plus.
As a Community Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Applying Mumsnet's Talk guidelines in response to user reports
- Maintaining an active presence on the boards and communicating with users
- Responding to individual reports with care, clarity and consistency
- Making thoughtful judgement calls in sensitive or fast-moving situations
Requirements:
- A degree, or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent written communication skills
- An unflappable, positive and conscientious approach
- Strong customer service instincts and empathy for users
- High level of computer literacy
- Confidence using social platforms and understanding online communities (especially Mumsnet)
- Nice to have: Previous community management or moderation experience
Benefits:
