We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, forward-thinking client of ours based in Hertford for an experienced Bookkeeper. They are experiencing an exciting period of expansion and looking for a hard-working individual to join their team often. They are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function. The role is initially part-time (3 days per week), offering flexibility, but as the company grows further, there could be an opportunity for a full-time position.
The Role- Managing invoicing and the purchase ledger
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
- Supporting the wider business with reliable and timely financial information
- Proven experience in a Bookkeeping or Accounts role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software
- Experience handling invoicing, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and VAT
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the role
