We are recruiting a Senior Operations Manager for a highly distinctive and fast-evolving hospitality group known for creating vibrant, entertainment-led experiences. Built on a culture that celebrates individuality, creativity and community, this group has developed a reputation for operating venues that go beyond the traditional model. From live music and cultural events to competitive socialising and late-night experiences, each venue is designed to bring energy, creativity and personality.

Operating across a diverse and high-performing multi-site estate, the business continues to evolve its model while maintaining a strong focus on people, partnership and performance. As the organisation continues to refine its operating structure and strengthen performance across the estate, this role will play a key part in driving operational consistency, supporting venue leaders and unlocking the full potential of each venue. This is not simply about overseeing a group of venues; it’s about partnering closely with operators, strengthening performance and helping shape a portfolio of culturally relevant, commercially successful spaces.

Working closely with the Operations Director to drive profitability and strengthen leadership capability across the estate, you will be instrumental in supporting the continued evolution of the business.

The role:

  • You’ll oversee performance across a defined group of venues, working closely with General Managers to drive revenue growth, improve profitability and strengthen operational discipline.
  • A key part of the role is identifying opportunities within the estate - supporting underperforming venues to recover while unlocking growth potential in stronger locations through commercial thinking, creativity and strong leadership.
  • You’ll lead refurbishment and capital investment projects across your area, ensuring sites are positioned to deliver strong commercial returns while enhancing guest experience and venue relevance.
  • Working closely with the wider leadership team, you’ll ensure operational standards, compliance and guest experience remain consistently high while maintaining the energy and individuality that defines the venues.
  • You’ll recruit, develop and coach venue leaders, building strong relationships and strengthening the pipeline of future leaders across the organisation.
  • Commercially minded and highly visible across your area, you’ll ensure marketing activity, events and commercial initiatives are aligned with business objectives and local market opportunities.
  • Strategic but hands-on, you’ll balance operational discipline with the creativity and cultural awareness required to operate high-energy hospitality venues.

What success looks like in this role:

  • Within the first 12 months, you will have strengthened commercial performance across your area, delivering improved sales and profitability while stabilising underperforming venues.
  • You will have built strong, trusted relationships with General Managers, creating a culture of accountability, support and continuous improvement.
  • Refurbishment and capital investment projects within your area will have been delivered successfully, enhancing venue performance and guest experience.
  • You will have strengthened operational standards, reporting rhythm and performance management across the venues you oversee, creating greater clarity and consistency.
  • Most importantly, the spaces you look after will be commercially stronger while continuing to deliver the vibrant, inclusive and culturally relevant experiences that define the brand.

Essential experience we’re looking for:

  • Hospitality background in bar or pub environments.
  • Proven multi-site hospitality leadership experience (circa 5-20 locations).
  • Experience managing high-energy, customer-facing venues.
  • Strong commercial awareness with demonstrable P&L accountability.
  • Experience leading refurbishment projects or CAPEX investments within hospitality venues.
  • Proven ability to improve performance across a portfolio of venues.
  • Experience coaching and developing General Managers or venue leaders.
  • Strong operational discipline with a focus on guest experience and compliance.
  • Confident analysing performance data and translating insight into action.
  • Highly organised, structured and delivery-focused.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable working across geographically spread teams.
  • Strong presence, natural leadership and high emotional intelligence.
  • Most importantly: you’re someone who combines operational rigour with personality and energy, a leader who can drive performance while protecting the individuality, culture and creativity that make great hospitality venues truly memorable.
