ABOUT THE ROLE
Multus is seeking a versatile and hands‑on Bioengineer to support our laboratory automation systems and protocol development. This is a junior‑level role perfect for someone with a strong technical and engineering foundation who enjoys working at the intersection of biology, software, and integrated systems. You’ll help maintain our automation infrastructure, develop and implement laboratory protocols, and contribute to backend system development as you grow with the team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory automation systems including liquid handlers, dispensers, robotic platforms, and analytical instruments.
- Act as first responder to automation system issues, including out‑of‑hours troubleshooting and system recovery when needed to ensure smooth experiment execution.
- Develop and implement automated protocols for cell culture and biochemical workflows, including assay development and liquid handling procedures.
- Responsible for protocol implementation on automated systems, working with research scientists to translate experimental needs into automated workflows.
- Contribute to backend system development and software integration projects as skills develop.
- Provide hands‑on technical support for automation platform users and help resolve day‑to‑day operational issues.
- Document system maintenance, protocol development, and troubleshooting activities according to company standards.
- Participate in system testing, calibration, and validation activities to ensure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including research scientists, data scientists, and senior engineers.
- Learn and apply new technical skills across software, hardware, and biological systems.
