The Opportunity
This is a truly pivotal and exciting opportunity for an exceptional People leader to step in as the number two to our VP People. You\’ll be the driving force behind all things People delivery, making a significant impact across our dynamic, global business.
You\’ll lead a fantastic team, overseeing critical functions like Employee Relations, People Services, Analytics, Total Rewards, Systems, and People Partnering. We\’re looking for someone who can not only set the strategic direction but also roll up their sleeves and get stuck into the detail where needed.
You\’ll champion and lead the successful rollout of our global People initiatives, ensuring consistency and excellence across the board. A key focus will be evolving our People team into the AI era, looking beyond just human-centric organisational design to truly integrate human-machine collaboration. You\’ll also ensure our People strategies are implemented seamlessly and that your teams are incredibly well-equipped to support the entire business.
This role offers a rare platform to contribute to Multiverse\’s mission and truly shape our future as we continue our rapid growth.
Specifically, you will:
- Lead People Team Delivery & Strategy: Act as the strategic operational leader for our core People functions, overseeing Employee Relations, People Services and Operations, Analytics, Total Rewards, and Systems, ensuring best-in-class delivery.
- Drive Strategic People Initiatives: Orchestrate the successful planning, execution, and embedding of key global People programs ensuring alignment and effective change management across the organisation. You\’ll be the lynchpin in ensuring consistency amongst our people partner rollout processes for every new strategic initiative.
- Deliver operational excellence: All people lifecycle processes will ultimately be your responsibility. You’ll need to lead these with the rigour, precision and expertise required to ensure our people have a great experience and we’ve fully met our policy requirements. We operate in a regulated environment and so strong delivering consistently in this area will be key.
- Champion AI Transformation & Automation: Alongside the snr Director of People Services, lead the People team\’s AI transformation journey, including supporting the reskilling of People Partners and implementing work optimisation strategies for human-machine collaboration. You\’ll also drive automation within our People processes to enhance efficiency and impact.
- Elevate People Partnering & Capability: Lead and enable our People Partnering function, providing expert coaching, organisational design insights, and strategic People solutions to support critical client groups.
- Ensure Data-Driven Excellence: Utilise People data and analytics to inform program design, measure impact, and provide crucial insights and strategy across all People functions and to key stakeholders.
- Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement: Work closely with all stakeholders across Multiverse to ensure cohesive strategy implementation and share best practices. Maintain a strategic eye on external trends and internal feedback to continuously refine People programs, tools, and approaches, ensuring they are fit for the future.
About You:
- You\’re an incredible, high-intensity leader with proven experience operating at a senior level (Director or above) in a fast-paced, global environment, ideally within a scale-up that has reached revenue over $100m ARR
- You have a truly well-rounded, technical understanding of diverse People domains, including Employee Relations, Total Rewards, People Systems, Analytics, and People Partnering. You can oversee and drive excellence across all of them.
- You have clarity of thought on your beliefs in the people space: you have a strong ethos and ability to execute on performance management, comp philosophies and people ops/automation approach
- You are a master organiser and executor, capable of leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders, ensuring clarity, and delivering exceptional results.
- You are a natural enabler and toolkit builder, passionate about standardising excellence and empowering others with the resources they need to succeed.
- You possess a highly strategic and forward-thinking mindset, with a keen interest in the future of work, including the impact and implementation of AI within People functions.
- You are an exceptional communicator and influencer, able to build trust and credibility quickly with senior executives and articulate complex ideas with clarity.
- You have a strong understanding of change management principles and a proven track record in embedding new processes and ways of working within a team and across an organisation.
- You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, demonstrate a high degree of initiative, and are adept at problem-solving.
- You thrive in a collaborative environment, ready to partner effectively across the People team and the wider business
