Multitech Site Services are a growing provider of temporary electrics. We are looking to recruit a Trainee/Junior Estimator to join our Estimating team at our main offices in Dunmow, Essex.
Key Responsibilities
- As part of the estimating and design team work in the preparation of bids and tenders.
- Enthusiastically apply yourself to the departmental learning and training opportunity.
- Produce design information including marked up drawings showing locations and schematic diagrams showing circuitry for both the client and contracts department.
- Communicate with clients via various channels to ascertain their requirements, ensuring sufficient information to produce a compliant, structured and competitive bid.
- In support of the senior estimator visit clients to gather tender information and attend mid tender reviews to ensure their requirements are fully understood and bid expectations met.
- Assist in the production of tender interview documents and other supporting information.
- From the specific details assembled, design a concise and competitive tender document that is both understandable to the client as well as our contracts department who have the construction responsibility for the installation.
- Carry out bid follow up activities after submittal and report their status.
- Coordination with client/site and our contracts department from planning period to handover prior to project commencement.
- Assist with team promotion and marketing activities including client social events.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Knowledge of construction or related industries.
- Work experience in a past electrical/mechanical role.
- A positive willingness to learn and develop.
- A reasonable level of computer and technology understanding.
- Full driving license.
- Be located within a reasonable commute of our premises in Great Dunmow.
Preferred
- Temporary services sector experience.
- Plumbing & mechanical knowledge.
- Experience of work in an office environment.
- Electrical qualifications.
