Multitask Recruitment Solutions are working with a well-established textile manufacturing client who produces high-quality headwear products. We currently have a vacancy available for a Production Operative within the weaving department. Full training will be provided.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery efficiently and safely.
  • Assist with yarn preparation to ensure high-quality production standards.
  • Maintain and monitor stock levels.
  • Carry out initial product inspections.
  • Complete training across multiple skills (with hourly rate increasing as skills develop).
  • Ensure work meets required standards, reporting any non-conformance through the correct channels.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Perform essential quality checks at set intervals.
  • Due to the nature of the role, manual dexterity is required. The role involves standing for long periods, operating machinery, and some lifting.
  • Own method of transport is very advantageous due to the location of the client.

Shift Pattern:

Initial training will be conducted on day shifts:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm

Upon successful completion of training, the role will move to a continental shift pattern of 3 shifts on / 3 shifts off. Shifts rotate between:

  • Days: 6:00am – 6:00pm
  • Nights: 6:00pm – 6:00am

Please note: holidays must be taken during the factory’s scheduled shutdown periods.

Pay: £12.71 per hour, rises to £14.53 once fully trained.
