Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cutting Machine Operative to join our production team. The role involves operating cutting machinery to accurately cut materials in line with job specifications, quality standards, and production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cutting machines safely and efficiently
- Set up machines according to job requirements and measurements
- Read and follow job sheets and production instructions
- Ensure all finished work meets quality and accuracy standards
- Carry out routine machine checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Identify and report any faults, errors, or material issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area
- Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience operating cutting machinery (preferred but not essential)
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Basic mechanical awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
