Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Leyland, is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse & FLT Operator to join their operations team. This role is ideal for someone with warehouse and forklift experience who can work safely and efficiently within a fast-paced production environment, supporting the movement, storage, and dispatch of materials and finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily checks on dock levellers and FLTs, completing records and reporting defects.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies at all times.
  • Unload deliveries safely by hand or using FLT equipment, reporting any damages or shortages.
  • Store, handle, and repack products safely in the correct warehouse locations.
  • Ensure stock rotation procedures are followed.
  • Move materials safely in line with manual handling procedures.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
  • Supply materials to production lines in line with operational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate stock and inventory records.
  • Assist with stock counts and inventory checks when required.
  • Handle hazardous materials safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across warehouse and work areas.
  • Work in line with all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.

Skills & Experience

  • Valid Bendi/FLT licence.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good numeracy and basic IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexible and reliable approach to work.
  • Understanding of quality standards and customer expectations.

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Afternoon shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
  • Full-time position.
