Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Leyland, is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse & FLT Operator to join their operations team. This role is ideal for someone with warehouse and forklift experience who can work safely and efficiently within a fast-paced production environment, supporting the movement, storage, and dispatch of materials and finished products.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily checks on dock levellers and FLTs, completing records and reporting defects.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies at all times.
- Unload deliveries safely by hand or using FLT equipment, reporting any damages or shortages.
- Store, handle, and repack products safely in the correct warehouse locations.
- Ensure stock rotation procedures are followed.
- Move materials safely in line with manual handling procedures.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Supply materials to production lines in line with operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate stock and inventory records.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory checks when required.
- Handle hazardous materials safely and responsibly.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across warehouse and work areas.
- Work in line with all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Valid Bendi/FLT licence.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good numeracy and basic IT skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible and reliable approach to work.
- Understanding of quality standards and customer expectations.
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday.
- Afternoon shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
- Full-time position.
