A reputable Facilities Management provider is seeking an experienced Foot Mobile Fabric Engineer to support a Central London portfolio on a fixed-term contract. This role requires a professional, self-sufficient engineer with a strong grounding in building fabric maintenance, capable of delivering both planned and reactive works across multiple commercial sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs
- Carry out a range of tasks including carpentry, painting & decorating, basic plumbing, and general building maintenance
- Conduct routine site inspections and identify defects or remedial works
- Maintain building fabric elements including doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, and finishes
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
- Accurately update job records via CAFM systems or job sheets
- Liaise with clients, site teams, and subcontractors in a professional manner
- Effectively manage workload across multiple sites within Central London
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a Fabric Engineer or Building Maintenance role within commercial environments
- NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade (essential)
- Strong multi-trade skillset across general building fabric works
- Good understanding of health & safety within facilities management
- Ability to work independently in a foot mobile capacity
- Professional attitude with strong communication skills
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a foot mobile role across London
- Familiarity with CAFM systems
- Immediately available or able to start on 19th May
