A reputable Facilities Management provider is seeking an experienced Foot Mobile Fabric Engineer to support a Central London portfolio on a fixed-term contract. This role requires a professional, self-sufficient engineer with a strong grounding in building fabric maintenance, capable of delivering both planned and reactive works across multiple commercial sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs
  • Carry out a range of tasks including carpentry, painting & decorating, basic plumbing, and general building maintenance
  • Conduct routine site inspections and identify defects or remedial works
  • Maintain building fabric elements including doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, and finishes
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
  • Accurately update job records via CAFM systems or job sheets
  • Liaise with clients, site teams, and subcontractors in a professional manner
  • Effectively manage workload across multiple sites within Central London

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Fabric Engineer or Building Maintenance role within commercial environments
  • NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade (essential)
  • Strong multi-trade skillset across general building fabric works
  • Good understanding of health & safety within facilities management
  • Ability to work independently in a foot mobile capacity
  • Professional attitude with strong communication skills

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in a foot mobile role across London
  • Familiarity with CAFM systems
  • Immediately available or able to start on 19th May
