About the Role
Are you a qualified Electrician with a clean driving licence and a passion for renewable energy? We are offering a competitive salary, full-time hours (40 per week), and the chance to be part of a growing sector driving the clean energy transition.

Responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission domestic and/or commercial solar PV systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Work with DC/AC circuits, inverters, isolators, and fault-finding procedures
- Use remote monitoring systems, data loggers, and apps
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, including RAMS and UK building regulations
- Ensure compliance with DNO requirements (grid connection)
- Report and rectify unsafe installations, appliances, or equipment
- Operate tools, machinery, and equipment safely and effectively
- Carry out all aspects of electrical works as required
- Be willing to travel regionally (and nationally if needed)
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when necessary
Requirements
- Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship and/or full electrical qualifications (essential)
- 18th Edition IEE qualification (essential)
- Knowledge or experience with MCS Accreditation (Microgeneration Certification Scheme)
- Solar PV or renewables experience (preferred – training available)
- Familiarity with PAS 2030 for retrofit/funded work (desirable)
- Understanding of G98/G99 grid connection regulations
- Solar PV-related qualifications such as:
- City & Guilds 2399 – Solar PV Installation (still recognised)
- LCL Awards Level 3 Award – Installation & Maintenance of Solar PV Systems
- BPEC Solar PV Installer Course (essential)
