About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to lead our High Voltage team. You will be responsible for the safe delivery and operation of HV systems up to 33kV, working on major construction and energy projects with a particular focus on HV connections, EV infrastructure and Solar Farms. Key Responsibilities
- Act as SAP for HV systems up to 33kV
- Plan, control and oversee HV switching, isolation, earthing and energisation
- Prepare and approve switching schedules, RAMS and HV safety documentation
- Issue and manage relevant HV safety permits and operational documents
- Provide technical leadership to HV engineers and subcontractors
- Oversee HV installation, testing, commissioning and energisation
- Liaise with DNOs, ICPs, clients and principal contractors
- Ensure works comply with company procedures, NERS requirements and Health & Safety legislation
- Support HV audits, inspections and technical problem-solving
About You
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in HV connections on large construction sites
- Proven SAP / Authorised Person experience
- Experience with HV systems up to 33kV
- Strong knowledge of HV switching, safety and operational procedures
- Experience with DNOs / ICPs / NERS environments
- Knowledge of EV charging infrastructure and Solar Farm connections
- Ability to read HV single-line diagrams and technical drawings
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
