About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with experience in the fit out sector working across Commercial and Industrial projects, to join a growing and successful contractor delivering industrial and commercial projects right across the UK. You'll take the lead on site, overseeing multiple trades, direct labour and specialist subcontractors, and acting as the trusted face of the business for clients and Principal Contractors. If you're a confident, hands Site Manager who thrives on variety and wants to make a real impact on high-profile projects nationwide, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

This is a nationwide role and you'll need the flexibility to travel and stay away from home as project requirements dictate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full day-to-day responsibility for the management of assigned projects, coordinating multiple direct trades and specialist subcontractors.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, monitoring progress and identifying potential delays or risks.
  • Organise labour, plant, materials and deliveries, keeping a clean, organised and professional site environment.
  • Work closely with Contracts Managers to keep projects on programme and on budget, reporting progress and escalating issues promptly.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with company procedures, RAMS and current legislation, and carrying out site inspections and inductions.
  • Monitor workmanship and quality across trades, manage snagging, and support project handovers and completion documentation.
  • Supervise directly employed operatives and subcontractors, monitoring productivity and assisting with workforce planning.
  • Get involved in a wide variety of project types, including warehouse fit-outs, industrial refurbishments, mezzanine floors and commercial office fit-outs.

About You

You will likely be working currently as a Site Manager, Senior Site Supervisor or Working foreman, hold SMSTS and have experience in industrial or commercial fit-outs, you’ll also bring:

  • Proven experience managing construction sites and coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and leadership skills, with strong communication ability.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A strong understanding of construction health and safety.
  • A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel and stay away from home as required.
