We are looking for an experienced Electrical Qualified Supervisor to support and oversee our clients' renewable installations. This role is ideal for a technically strong electrician with supervisory experience who is looking to step into or further develop a QS position within renewables.
The Role
- You will be responsible for ensuring all electrical renewable works are carried out safely, compliantly and to the highest standards, acting as the primary point of technical and regulatory oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the company QS for electrical renewable works
- Ensure compliance with BS 7671, industry regulations and accreditation body requirements
- Oversee and carry out inspection, testing and certification of completed works
- Review electrical certification for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain quality control standards across all renewable installations
- Ensure safe working practices and adherence to health and safety procedures
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and subcontractors
- Assist with training and development of junior staff
- Support NICEIC or NAPIT assessments and audits
- Address non-conformances and implement corrective actions
Process Improvement
- Identify technical improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrotechnical qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS 7671 or current equivalent
- City and Guilds 2391-51/52 or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years supervisory or responsible electrical experience
- Ability to pass NICEIC or NAPIT QS assessment
Desirable
- ECS Gold Card
- Experience across a range of electrical renewable technologies
