Maintenance Electrician
Salary: £39,975
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (plus overtime available)

About This Opportunity
We're recruiting an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established facilities management provider, covering planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a portfolio of client sites. This is a hands-on, varied role for a qualified electrician who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
You’ll be working across a broad mix of asset types — from lighting and distribution boards through to BMS, HVAC and EV charging systems — with the autonomy to manage your own workload and the backing of a supportive contracts team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites and sectors
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and installation works across systems including lighting, distribution boards & circuits, fire & intruder alarms, pumps/motors & controls, building management systems, PAT testing, HVAC, and EV systems
- Carry out fault finding and repairs on electrical equipment and systems
- Carry out alterations, installations and electrical testing in line with specification and legislation
- Respond promptly to reactive call requests from the Helpdesk team
- Provide an on-call service as part of a call-out rota
- Compile quotes for installation and repair works, outlining materials and labour required
- Identify non-repairable issues and promptly advise the Contracts Manager of findings and recommendations
- Travel to various locations to fulfil allocated tasks
- Carry out tasks in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Monitor and update the CAFM system
- Engage with Health & Safety and Learning & Development requirements in line with site safety regulations
- Represent the company professionally to internal and external stakeholders
About You
- NVQ Level 3, AM2, City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
- Previous experience in electrical maintenance and installation
- Ability to maintain and repair a range of electrical systems to recognised standards with minimum supervision
- Ability to repair and maintain a range of equipment
- Able to use own initiative while working accurately with policies and procedures
- Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- PC literate
- Full driving licence
- Customer-focused, self-motivated and flexible approach to work
- Good problem-solving skills
