Building Fabric Technician / Multi Skilled Joiner

  • Salary: £33,052k per annum
  • On-Call allowance (1 in 4)
  • Overtime paid at 1.5
  • Location: Norwich
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, Full Time, Permanent
  • On average £45k+ on a 45 hour working week

About This Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Building Fabric Technician to join a leading building services contractor within a well-established facilities management division. You'll play a key role in keeping buildings running safely and smoothly, delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and installation works across a range of building fabric and general maintenance tasks.

Working across multiple sites, you'll bring a genuinely multi-skilled approach, from carpentry and joinery to basic plumbing and general building repairs, and enjoy the variety and autonomy that comes with a hands‑on, site-based role in a stable and growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out PPM, reactive maintenance and installation works across building fabric
  • General building repairs including roofing, guttering, brickwork, flooring and external works
  • Internal maintenance including carpentry, plastering, painting and decorating, glazing and wall repairs
  • Joinery works including doors, frames, locks, handles and fittings
  • Basic plumbing and drainage works including toilets, sinks, pipework and leaksEnsure all works are completed in line with SLAs and health & safety regulations
  • Update and maintain CAFM system records
  • Travel between multiple sites as required

About You

  • NVQ Level 2 in General Building Operations / Construction / Joinery (or equivalent)
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Proven experience in building fabric maintenance, FM, or shopfitting environments
  • Multi-skilled across carpentry, basic plumbing and general building repairs
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload
  • Good IT skills (CAFM systems or similar)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work
