Building Fabric Technician / Multi Skilled Joiner
- Salary: £33,052k per annum
- On-Call allowance (1 in 4)
- Overtime paid at 1.5
- Location: Norwich
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, Full Time, Permanent
- On average £45k+ on a 45 hour working week
About This Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Building Fabric Technician to join a leading building services contractor within a well-established facilities management division. You'll play a key role in keeping buildings running safely and smoothly, delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and installation works across a range of building fabric and general maintenance tasks.
Working across multiple sites, you'll bring a genuinely multi-skilled approach, from carpentry and joinery to basic plumbing and general building repairs, and enjoy the variety and autonomy that comes with a hands‑on, site-based role in a stable and growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM, reactive maintenance and installation works across building fabric
- General building repairs including roofing, guttering, brickwork, flooring and external works
- Internal maintenance including carpentry, plastering, painting and decorating, glazing and wall repairs
- Joinery works including doors, frames, locks, handles and fittings
- Basic plumbing and drainage works including toilets, sinks, pipework and leaksEnsure all works are completed in line with SLAs and health & safety regulations
- Update and maintain CAFM system records
- Travel between multiple sites as required
About You
- NVQ Level 2 in General Building Operations / Construction / Joinery (or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS card
- Proven experience in building fabric maintenance, FM, or shopfitting environments
- Multi-skilled across carpentry, basic plumbing and general building repairs
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Good IT skills (CAFM systems or similar)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
