Position: Internal Sales Consultant – Renewable Energy Wholesale

Location: Basildon

Salary: £30,000 (DOE)

The Role:

  • As an Internal Sales Consultant, you will be a key part of the sales function, developing customer relationships, overseeing internal sales activities, and driving revenue growth.
  • You will work closely with both new and existing clients, offering technical solutions and ensuring exceptional service from enquiry through to order delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of B2B customer accounts across the UK
  • Lead inbound and outbound sales efforts to generate new opportunities
  • Oversee the internal sales process from initial enquiry to order fulfilment
  • Prepare and send out accurate quotations and sales documentation
  • Provide support on solar system design (training provided)
  • Use CRM systems to maintain accurate client and sales records
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and technical teams to deliver seamless service

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a B2B or wholesale sales role (Electrical, Renewables, or Building Supplies background)
  • Strong leadership or coordination skills within a sales team
  • Confident communicator with a customer focused approach
  • Proficient in using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office tools
  • Able to understand technical information and translate it to customers
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience within the solar, electrical, or renewables sector is a plus
