Job Title: Electrician Location: Wakefield, UK Salary: £18.75 per hour + 1.5x hour Overtime + Benefits Hours: 37.5 hours a week Job Description: Our partner is a leader in Mechanical & Electrical services, facilities management, and commercial cleaning solutions with over 100 years of expertise. They are seeking an experienced Electrician to join the team, specialising in commercial properties, maintenance, and testing and inspecting. The role involves performing electrical inspections, fault diagnosis, testing, and remedial work to ensure safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Electrical Inspection & Testing, remedial work, and installations primarily within commercial properties. Diagnose faults, recommend solutions, and execute repairs or alterations to ensure safe and efficient operation. Respond promptly to reactive call requests and participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and sustainable practices. Qualifications & Skills: AM2 or NVQ Level 3 equivalent. City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing). 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification. Gold Card or ECS equivalent. Proven experience in electrical maintenance, testing, and installation. Full UK driving licence. Package: Salary: £18.75 per hour. On-Call Payment: £1,950 per annum (1 week in 4). Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate after 37.5 hours worked. Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 (30 minutes daily travel time in own time). Benefits: Company van, uniform, and PPE provided. Private healthcare. Death in Service benefit. Working Away Perks: £25 meal allowance per night. Accommodation is sourced and paid for by the company
