We are currently recruiting for a Power Press Setter Operator for our client based in Redditch. Immediate starts. Possible permanent position after a successful trial period.
Duties:

Set and operate various power press tools (forming, blanking, piercing, cropping, roll forming, progression, etc.).

Work with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic presses using manual or coil feeders.

Read and interpret engineering and tooling drawings to ensure parts meet specifications.

Perform quality checks using standard measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, shadow graphs).

Identify and resolve any tooling or press setup issues.

Complete component booking and inspection records accurately.

Carry out routine and preventative maintenance tasks, including signing off press guards.

Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with ISO9001/AS9100/ISO14001 standards.

Adhere strictly to PPE and Health & Safety policies.

Support continuous improvement and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Requirements:

Proven experience in setting and operating power presses.

Power Press Setter certification (ROSPA or equivalent).

Ability to use precision measuring equipment and conduct quality checks.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with quality standards including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 14001.

Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Punctual, dependable, and flexible with working hours including overtime when needed.
Hours of Work:
Monday – Thursday
6am – 4.15pm or 7am – 5.15pm.
Rate of pay:
GBP13.00 per hour.
