Are you an experienced, proactive and dependable Class 1 HGV Shunter looking for a new opportunity? This pivotal role is perfect for someone with a Class 1, Category C+E licence who enjoys hands-on work and has a keen eye for detail. As an HGV Shunter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring trailers are in the right place at the right time and that goods are secured and ready for transport. This role is suitable for experienced HGV Drivers only What You\’ll Do As an HGV Shunter at our Client\’s main distribution and production site in Tewkesbury, you’ll support the Warehouse & Haulage teams, ensuring smooth yard operations and preparing trailers for efficient delivery. This role involves a range of duties, from moving trailers and checking vehicle conditions to maintaining clean wash and refueling areas. You’ll need a positive, flexible approach, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to high standards in customer service. Key Responsibilities: * Safe operation of yard-shunter vehicles and safe coupling/uncoupling of trailers. * Monitoring and reporting any vehicle damage and performing regular tire checks. * Ensuring fridges are running and electrical connections are secure. * Maintaining vehicle wash and refueling areas, and reporting any infringements. * Collecting and returning vehicles for servicing as needed. Working Hours * 48 hours per week (rostered average) * Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday * Fixed daytime shifts (Apply online only) Please note: This is a physically active role, involving manual handling. Key Skills * A clean UK driving licence (Category C+E). * Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently. * A proactive attitude toward health and safety and a commitment to high standards. * Forklift experience is beneficial but not essential (training can be provided).
