Pay Rate: Competitive (dependent on experience)

Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 15:30
  • Friday: 07:30 - 15:00

We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our client’s team on an ongoing temporary basis. This is a hands-on role working within a public crematorium environment, maintaining high standards of presentation and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General grounds maintenance including:
    • Lawn mowing
    • Hedge trimming
    • Weeding and pruning
    • Planting and general garden upkeep
  • Ensuring outdoor areas remain tidy, attractive, and well-maintained
  • Maintaining the visual appeal and functionality of public spaces
  • Transporting tools, equipment, and crew to various sites as required
  • Working respectfully and professionally in a sensitive, public-facing environment

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points)
  • Towing Licence essential
  • Previous grounds maintenance or gardening experience preferred
  • DBS check preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Professional attitude and ability to work in the public eye
  • Reliable and team-oriented

Additional Information:

  • Candidates will be required to:
    • Attend an on-site interview
    • Pass a company induction
