Who we're looking for:
Our people are united by a common belief: that we can outperform in everything we do. The Engineering Lead role is a flexible role which responds to the needs of the business. The role covers early work winning activities (such as design reviews, tender preparation), PCSA activities (such as attending workshops with design teams, preparing DRMs, engaging with subcontractors, preparing tender documents) and project delivery where design is ongoing and engineering support is required. It may also encompass aftercare activities where design/engineering issues need to be resolved. This role is a non-operational role. The building services engineering leads will not be involved in the day-to-day operational project delivery. The role focuses on the engineering development of all aspects of the project from tender to commissioning and completion.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with the design lead to ensure where VE has been taken on other packages other than Building Services
- Acts as technical ambassador for the company and participates in industry events
- Participates in tender briefings/presentations and provides technical advice and innovative solutions to support Multiplex
- Leads the development of technical settlements and submissions for assigned tenders
- Responsible for reviewing and assessing the quality and completeness of tender documentation
- Manages the flow of communication between various engineering/operational interfaces to ensure package design is complete, coordinated, and buildable
- Acts as the technical face to the client and uses expertise to promote Multiplex as an engineering lead, solutions focused business
What do I need to be successful in this role?
- Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
- Experience in engineering design/Understanding of project management techniques
- Excellent written and oral communicator
- Experience with various building services construction techniques
- Computer literate and capability to use Navisworks/other relevant review software/BIM tools
