- Setting and operating CNC turning centers, including tooling selection, offsets, workholding, and safe prove‑out of jobs.
- Working with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi (DMG MORI).
- Understanding and running parts to drawing/specification, including multi‑axis turning.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, tolerances, and basic GD familiarity with basic SPC.
- Experience with a range of materials (steels, aluminium, stainless) and understanding of cutting data.
- Basic fault‑finding skills and troubleshooting ability.
