Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for a Caretaker to begin work for a well-established company in the Wakefield area.
About the Role:
- Working Hours: 6:30am – 2:30pm and 11:00am – 7:00pm on rotating weekly shifts
- Pay Rate: £14.35 per hour
- Start Date: ASAP
- Long-term work for the right candidate
Working as part of the Estates Team, you will undertake a wide range of duties including basic joinery, general repairs, site security, setting up rooms for events, and assisting with statutory safety checks. The role will also involve occasional evening and weekend duties, along with support across all Foundation sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- General maintenance and basic repair of fixtures, furniture, and fittings
- Basic plumbing and decorating duties
- Security responsibilities including opening/locking buildings and alarm checks
- Supporting event set-up and school logistics
- Carrying out general caretaker and maintenance duties across site
About You:
- Proven maintenance experience, ideally within a school or similar environment
- Practical skills in basic plumbing, decorating, and carpentry
- Positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
- Committed to safeguarding and health & safety procedures
- A driving licence is desirable but not essential
- Experience working on a school site is advantageous
- Relevant qualifications in a trade, health & safety, or first aid are desirable but not essential
- CSCS card preferred but not essential
- High work ethic and reliable
- Punctual and hardworking
- MUST be available immediately
