Senior Project Manager for a major Civil Engineering Infrastructure Project in Scotland.

Location: Fort Augustus to Isle of Skye, Scotland

Rate: £700 per day PAYE

Contract: 6-Month Rolling Contract

Rotation: 10 Days On / 4 Days Off

Accommodation: Company-provided accommodation available (approximately £50–£60 per day)

Multi Trades Recruitment are working on behalf of a prestigious Tier 1 national contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager for a landmark 130km road infrastructure project in Scotland. This major civil engineering scheme includes highways, earthworks, drainage, structures and associated infrastructure works. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the design and construction process, ensuring approved designs are effectively coordinated and delivered through construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the safe delivery of major civil engineering and infrastructure works.
  • Manage scheme design development through to construction delivery.
  • Coordinate design outputs and ensure construction drawings receive the necessary approvals.
  • Integrate design activities with construction programmes and site operations.
  • Lead procurement activities and manage subcontractors, plant, labour and materials.
  • Develop construction methodologies, RAMS, programmes and quality processes.
  • Monitor project performance, programme, budgets and productivity.
  • Identify and resolve technical, contractual and construction challenges.
  • Maintain accurate project records and provide regular progress reporting.
  • Lead, mentor and develop project teams while promoting a strong safety and quality culture.
Requirements
  • Civil Engineering qualification (ONC, HNC, Degree or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience delivering major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background in linear construction projects such as highways, roads, rail or utilities.
  • Proven experience delivering Design & Build projects.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design, design approvals and construction coordination.
  • Ability to manage designers and ensure timely approval of construction documentation.
  • Valid Manager's CSCS Card.
  • Professional membership desirable but not essential.
  • Strong leadership, project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technically competent with a proactive approach to innovation and continuous improvement.
