Mechanical Labourer

Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for Mechanical Labourers to begin work for a well-established company in the Islay area (off the west coast of Scotland) AND also across Scotland.

About the role:

• Working Hours: 11 days on / 3 days off
• Monday – Thursday: 7am-7pm
• Friday: 7am-3pm
• Saturday/Sunday: 7am-3pm
• Pay Rate: Up to £15.00 per hour* based on your experience
• Assisting engineers in building silos for the food and drink industry
• Bolting metal components under instruction
• Labour-intensive, repetitive work – must be physically fit and strong
• Operatives must have a mechanical/building background
• Accommodation, food, and all travel expenses covered
• Transport provided from Edinburgh then transport to the ferry port (3hr drive + 2hr ferry)
• PPE Required: 5-point PPE – Safety glasses, Hi-vis, Safety boots, Hard hat, Gloves
• Long-term work for the right candidate
• Start: 23/06/25

About You:

• High work ethic & team player
• Punctual & reliable
• You must be a time-served/qualified mechanical labourer or have worked in a mechanical / building background
• Physically fit
• Hardworking
• CSCS Essential
