Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for an experienced Loading Shovel Driver to begin work for a well-established energy and waste processing site. This role is paid CIS.
About the Role:
You will be working a 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off shift pattern, ensuring the safe movement and manoeuvring of vehicles on site, while managing biomass fuel levels within the fuel hall and maintaining high housekeeping standards across the site.
Shift Pattern: 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off
Days - 06:00-18:00
Nights - 18:00-06:00
Location: Site-based
Start: ASAP
Pay Rate: Competitive – dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate mobile plant, including loading shovel
- Manage and maintain biomass fuel levels within the fuel hall
- Ensure safe vehicle movements across the fuel yard and weighbridge
- Complete pre-shift checks and documentation (reporting any defects to the Shift Team Leader)
- Carry out daily maintenance including greasing and cleaning of plant
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the plant, fuel yard and weighbridge
- Empty tip skips and dust bags
- Take and record fuel samples
- Refuel site vehicles as required
- Report any defects, damages, near misses or H&S breaches immediately
- Conduct thorough shift handovers to the next Loading Shovel Driver
- Work in line with company Health & Safety and environmental policies at all times
About You:
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience operating a Loading Shovel
- CPCS, NPORS or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
- Strong understanding of site safety procedures
- Ability to complete documentation accurately
Desirable:
- Counterbalance Forklift experience
- Telehandler experience
- Experience loading and unloading HGV vehicles
