Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for a Ganger to begin work for a well-established company working on a major project in Orkney. Candidates can be based in Inverness.
About the role
Working Hours - 12 days on / 2 days off OR 11 days on / 3 days off, 7:30am – 6:00pm Pay Rate - £250 - £300 per day (depending on experience) Brief Role Description –
We are looking for an experienced Groundworks Ganger to lead a team working on a substation project in Orkney.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising groundworkers, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Duties will include
- Leading and coordinating a groundworks team
- Overseeing drainage and ducting works
- Ensuring quality and productivity standards are maintained
- Supporting day-to-day site operations
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed
- Working alongside the project team to deliver works on schedule
- Long-term work until the end of the year
- Start: ASAP
About You
- High work ethic & strong leadership skills
- Punctual & reliable
- Previous experience as a Groundworks Ganger / Supervisor required
- Experience managing groundworks teams essential
- Experience with drainage and ducting works preferred
- CSCS required
- SSSTS required
- First Aid required
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
