Multi Trades Recruitment is currently looking for AC Engineers to begin work for a well-established company based in Aldermaston, Reading (RG7 4PR).
About the role:
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Pay rate: £220 per day
- Duration: Approx. 4–5 months
- Start date: ASAP (subject to clearance)
- Number of operatives required: 5–10
Role responsibilities:
- Installation of Mitsubishi VRF and split air conditioning systems
- Installation and positioning of fan coil units, fan cores, and containment trays
- Refrigerant pipework installation for approximately 50 AC units, including brazing, pressure testing, and insulation
- Correct routing and securing of pipework, drainage, and cabling
- Leak testing, vacuuming, charging, and system commissioning
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and installation plans
- Ensuring all work complies with F-Gas regulations, health & safety requirements, and manufacturer specifications
- Completing installation reports and commissioning documentation
- Maintaining clean and safe work areas on site
About you:
- Time-served / qualified AC Engineer
- CSCS Blue Card – essential
- IPAF – essential
- F-Gas – essential
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in a relevant industry (Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or Heat Pumps)
- Proven experience with VRF/VRV and split systems
- Strong pipework fabrication and brazing skills
- Experience working on multi-unit commercial projects
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
- Must have own 5-point PPE
