We are recruiting for an Environmental Consultant on behalf of our client, a leading environmental response and specialist consultancy business based in Barnsley. This is a technical consultancy role supporting environmental incident response, contaminated land assessment and remediation projects across the UK. The role will involve a mixture of office-based work, fieldwork and travel, supporting major incident response projects and ensuring environmental compliance across a range of sites. The successful candidate will be involved in site investigations, risk assessments, regulatory engagement, soil and groundwater sampling, technical reporting and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support environmental incident response and remediation projects
- Carry out site investigations and contaminated land assessments
- Complete soil and groundwater sampling and analysis
- Prepare detailed technical reports and project documentation
- Conduct environmental risk assessments
- Liaise with regulators, clients and project stakeholders
- Support pollution response and environmental compliance works
- Assist with planning, coordinating and managing environmental projects
