Job Title: D1 Driver – Split Shift for Disabled Children’s Transport Location: Manchester, Failsworth M35 Hours: Split shift (morning and afternoon) 35-40 hours per week Salary: £11.44ph-£13.00ph Job Overview: We are looking for a compassionate and reliable D1 Driver to transport disabled children to and from school on a split shift schedule. This role is essential in ensuring the children’s safe and comfortable journey, both mornings and afternoons. You’ll be part of a supportive team, making a positive impact in the lives of the children and their families. Key Responsibilities: * Safely transport children to and from school, following a set route and schedule. * Provide assistance to children with mobility needs, ensuring their comfort and safety during the journey. * Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and caregivers to report any issues or concerns. * Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company guidelines. Requirements: * License: Valid D1 category on your driving license. * Must have an enhanced DBS * Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, particularly working with children or individuals with disabilities. * Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a caring approach. * Clearance: Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain).
