Job Opportunity: Damp & Timber Surveyor (Self-Employed)\\n\\nWe are looking to fill a self-employed position within our company, offering full-time or part-time flexibility. While we are open to candidates with varying levels of experience and qualifications, the ideal candidate would meet the criteria outlined below.\\n\\nJob Title: Damp & Timber Surveyor\\n\\nLocation: London & surrounding areas\\nEmployment Type: Self-Employed (Full-time or Part-time)\\nSalary:\\n\\n * £450 per week basic (£90 per day)\\n\\n * 7.5% commission on completed jobs (approx. 1 in 4 conversion rate)\\n\\n * 40p per mile travel allowance, plus parking and congestion fees (excluding fines)\\n\\n * Estimated annual income: £46,000\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * Conduct site visits to assess damp & timber issues in domestic properties\\n\\n * Produce basic floor plans and site notes, detailing problems and recommending remedial actions\\n\\n * Prescribe appropriate damp-proofing and timber treatment solutions\\n\\n * Provide expert advice on structural damp and condensation issues\\n\\n * Maintain accurate records and reports using Microsoft Word and email\\n\\n * Liaise with clients professionally and maintain a presentable appearance\\n\\nRequirements\\n\\n✅ Experience in damp & timber surveying (preferred)\\n✅ Knowledge of remedial treatment options for structural damp\\n✅ Basic computer skills, including digital floor plan creation (training provided)\\n✅ Own reliable transport and willingness to travel across London & the Home Counties\\n✅ Strong communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with clients\\n✅ Own mobile phone and PC (measuring/testing equipment may be provided)\\n\\nDesirable Qualifications (or equivalent)\\n\\n * Certificated Surveyor for Remedial Treatment (CSRT)\\n\\n * Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW)\\n\\n * Certificated Surveyor of Timber & Dampness in Buildings (CSTDB)\\n\\n * Certificated Surveyor of Dampness in Buildings (CSDB)\\n\\nAdditional Benefits\\n\\n * In-house training provided\\n\\n * Shadowing opportunities during initial site visits\\n\\n * Digital drawing package training available\\n\\nIf you are interested or know someone suitable for this role, please get in touch
