Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-4:30pm

We are recruiting for a Contract Manager on behalf of our client, a leading specialist provider of industrial services, environmental works, cleaning and waste management solutions. This is a key operational and commercial role responsible for the successful delivery, profitability and client management of industrial service contracts. The successful candidate will oversee contract performance, manage labour, plant and subcontractors, protect margins and ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required compliance standards.

The role would suit an experienced Contract Manager or Operations Manager from an industrial cleaning, waste management, tank cleaning, environmental services or specialist industrial services background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of industrial service contracts across cleaning, waste management and environmental works
  • Oversee contract performance, profitability and client satisfaction
  • Manage labour, plant, equipment and subcontractor resources
  • Monitor budgets, costs and contract margins
  • Ensure all work is delivered safely and in line with HSE and compliance requirements
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Identify opportunities for growth, additional works and cross-selling
  • Support operational planning and day-to-day service delivery
  • Attend sites as required to support contract performance
  • Report directly to the UK General Manager

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven contract management or operations management experience
  • Experience within industrial services, environmental services, waste, tank cleaning or industrial cleaning
  • Strong P&L, budget management and cost control capability
  • Experience managing labour, plant and subcontractors
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Good commercial awareness with the ability to protect margins
  • Strong HSE and compliance knowledge
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities within existing contracts
  • Confident communication and leadership skills

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a contract or operations management role
  • Experience managing budgets and P&L
  • Strong HSE awareness within industrial or compliance-led environments
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience in industrial cleaning, waste management or tank cleaning
  • Willingness to travel to sites as required
