Hours: 40 hours per week
Preferred shift: 1:00pm - 10:00pm
Alternative shift: 7:00am - 4:00pm (for candidates unable to work late shifts)

We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Welder Fabricators to join a busy manufacturing workshop in Buntingford. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, skilled fabricators looking for ongoing work with a well-established company. Working within a specialist fabrication team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality steel components and assemblies, ensuring all work is completed accurately, safely and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding and fabrication of steel components and sub-assemblies
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Setting out, drilling, cutting and preparing materials
- Operating workshop machinery including saws, drills and welding equipment
- Inspecting fabricated assemblies to ensure they are level, square and within tolerance
- Grinding and de-burring finished products ready for powder coating
- Completing quality assurance paperwork as required
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Reporting any defects or safety concerns to the Supervisor or Team Leader
- Working efficiently to meet production deadlines
- Assisting with training new operatives where required
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Welder Fabricator
- Good MIG welding experience
- Experience using workshop machinery
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with manual fabrication processes
- Good written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
