We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join a Facilities Management team working within a school in Borehamwood. This is a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the site, maintaining a safe, clean, and well-managed environment for staff, students, and visitors.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday ASAP - 31/08/26, 8 hours per day between 7:00 - 18:00, Weekly pay £13.76 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide essential caretaker support to ensure smooth day-to-day school operations
- Carry out regular building compliance checks to maintain health and safety standards
- Respond promptly and professionally to the needs of building users, including staff, students, and visitors
- Maintain a proactive, hands-on approach to site maintenance and support tasks
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive facilities management team
- Ensure the school environment remains safe, secure, and well-maintained at all times
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS certificate (required)
- Previous caretaking, facilities, or site maintenance experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, reliable, and flexible attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
