Multi Trades Recruitment is working on behalf of our client to recruit 2 General Operatives for an exciting commercial project based in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with the potential for ongoing work on future projects for the right candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, professionalism, and reliability.
About the Role
Working within a prestigious flagship commercial building, you will be responsible for adjusting or removing suspended acoustic ceiling rafts to ensure they meet sprinkler clearance requirements. Where panels cannot be adjusted, they will be carefully removed and stored on site. The project involves approximately 370 acoustic rafts across 16 floors, requiring a methodical approach, attention to detail, and excellent communication while working in an occupied building.
Duties
- Raise suspended acoustic panels by 75-150mm where possible.
- Remove and safely store panels that cannot be adjusted.
- Use an iPad to locate work areas from digital floor plans.
- Photograph completed work and update the on-site reporting system.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Represent the client professionally while working within an occupied building.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a practical, maintenance, installation or general operative role.
- Confident using an iPad or similar device for basic reporting.
- Good attention to detail.
- Friendly, professional and client-focused approach.
- Reliable, flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to undertake occasional out-of-hours work when required.
