As Junior Buyer, you will play an important role within the manufacturing operation, supporting the company's purchasing strategy, managing purchase orders and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Working closely with Production, Warehouse, Quality and Finance teams, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient supply of materials and components required for production. Managing purchase orders in line with company purchasing procedures * Checking purchase orders are correctly authorised and maintaining accurate purchasing records * Developing and maintaining an accurate supplier database * Working with key suppliers to develop effective just-in-time purchasing, helping to prevent both stock shortages and unnecessary stockholding * Communicating with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries and purchasing requirements * Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint * You will be a quick learner, self-motivated, flexible and hardworking, with an enthusiastic approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
