We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bench Joiner / Workshop Craftsperson to join our workshop team producing high-quality timber components such as benches, tables and cladding for steel furniture. This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled joiner who takes pride in precision work and craftsmanship. You will be working from technical drawings to measure, cut, shape and assemble timber components using a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans to manufacture timber components accurately.
  • Select and prepare appropriate timber materials for each project.
  • Measure, cut, shape and machine timber using a range of workshop machinery and hand tools.
  • Assemble timber components for street furniture products.
  • Ensure finished products meet high quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment.
  • Carry out basic maintenance and safe operation of machinery and tools.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in bench joinery or workshop-based woodworking.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Good numeracy and measuring skills.
  • Confidence using woodworking machinery and hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good awareness of workshop health and safety.
