We are currently recruiting for a reliable and detail-oriented Production Machine Operative to join a busy and supportive production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in precision work, enjoys working with machinery, and is looking for consistent weekday hours. The Role
As a Production Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating and setting up machinery to ensure materials are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with production schedules. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
- Setting up machines according to job specifications and measurements
- Reading and following job sheets and production instructions
- Ensuring finished products meet quality and accuracy standards
- Carrying out routine machine checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Identifying and reporting faults, errors, or material issues
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following all health & safety procedures and company policies
- Working collaboratively to achieve daily production targets
Requirements
- Previous experience operating machinery in a production environment (preferred, but not essential - full training provided)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work accurately under time constraints
- Basic mechanical awareness
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
