Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Leyland, is seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse & FLT Operator to join their operations team. This role is ideal for someone with warehouse and forklift experience who can work safely and efficiently within a fast-paced production environment, supporting the movement, storage, and dispatch of materials and finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily checks on dock levellers and FLTs, completing records and reporting defects
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies at all times
  • Unload deliveries safely by hand or using FLT equipment, reporting any damages or shortages
  • Store, handle, and repack products safely in the correct warehouse locations
  • Ensure stock rotation procedures are followed
  • Move materials safely in line with manual handling procedures
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch
  • Supply materials to production lines in line with operational requirements
  • Maintain accurate stock and inventory records
  • Assist with stock counts and inventory checks when required
  • Handle hazardous materials safely and responsibly
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across warehouse and work areas
  • Work in line with all health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • Valid Bendi/FLT licence
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good numeracy and basic IT skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible and reliable approach to work
  • Understanding of quality standards and customer expectations

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday Afternoon shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Full-time position
