Multitask Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding manufacturing company looking to add an experienced Production Planner / Scheduler to its team.

You'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time, and working closely with multiple departments to drive operational success.

The Role Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating production activities to maximise efficiency, minimise downtime and ensure customer deadlines are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities Create, maintain and optimise daily and weekly production schedules Generate and release manufacturing works orders using the MRP system Monitor production progress and make schedule adjustments where required Work closely with Purchasing to ensure materials are available when needed Liaise with Production, Quality and Logistics teams to keep operations running smoothly Manage changing priorities while maintaining excellent customer service levels Maintain accurate planning data and production records Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and operational efficiency About You We're looking for someone who can confidently balance multiple priorities while communicating effectively across the business.

You'll ideally have: Previous experience as a Production Planner, Production Scheduler or in a similar planning role Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment Knowledge of MRP or ERP systems Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Good Microsoft Excel and general IT skills High attention to detail with a proactive approach Desirable Experience Sheet metal fabrication or engineering manufacturing Knowledge of laser cutting, fabrication, welding or assembly processes Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles Production capacity planning and scheduling What's on Offer?
