We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bench Joiner / Workshop Craftsperson to join our workshop team producing high-quality timber components such as benches, tables and cladding for steel furniture. This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled joiner who takes pride in precision work and craftsmanship. You will be working from technical drawings to measure, cut, shape and assemble timber components using a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans to manufacture timber components accurately.
- Select and prepare appropriate timber materials for each project.
- Measure, cut, shape and machine timber using a range of workshop machinery and hand tools.
- Assemble timber components for street furniture products.
- Ensure finished products meet high quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment.
- Carry out basic maintenance and safe operation of machinery and tools.
Requirements
- Previous experience in bench joinery or workshop-based woodworking.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Good numeracy and measuring skills.
- Confidence using woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good awareness of workshop health and safety.
