Due to continued growth and a busy production schedule, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Altham. Full training is provided, making this a great opportunity for candidates with machine operating or factory experience looking to develop new skills in a long-term role.
What Youll Be Doing
- Operating silicone coating machinery safely and efficiently
- Packing finished products, including wrapping, weighing, and palletising
- Recording production data accurately using the in-house computer system
- Following work instructions and customer specifications
- Working from production priority schedules to meet deadlines
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and waste reduction
- Keeping the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
- Carrying out product testing to ensure specifications are met
- Supporting continuous improvement projects and team initiatives
- Completing any additional duties requested by supervisors or management
What Were Looking For
- Previous machine operating experience
- Comfortable with regular manual handling and repetitive tasks
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Flexible to work both day and night shifts
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
Training & Shift Pattern
Training will involve both day and night shifts: 2 weeks on days followed by 2 weeks on nights. This role operates on 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis with an additional night shift allowance.
