The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assembling and installing mechanical components within energy storage systems. This role involves hands-on work with various materials and components, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The Mechanical Fitter works within the production team to contribute to successful system builds, while supporting installation, testing, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install mechanical components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Follow industry regulations and company procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to fabricate and fit mechanical components.
- Work with a range of materials including metal, plastic, and composite components.
- Conduct functional and safety checks on mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults during assembly.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet project timelines and quality expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area, including proper tool usage and material management.
- Support other production activities as needed across mechanical assembly areas.
- Assist with installations and system commissioning when required.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines and contribute to maintaining a safe workplace.
