Reporting to the Value Stream Lead and working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality under tight deadlines. As a key member of the Shipping and Final Inspection team, you will play a vital role in ensuring products meet quality requirements and are despatched efficiently to customers. This varied position offers a broad range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing shipping documents, utilising internal databases as well as customer and courier online portals.
  • Assist with communication with customers regarding their order lines, including any short or delayed deliveries.
  • Assist with communication with external suppliers and contractors relevant to outsourcing parts.
  • Assist with coordination of other departments to ensure customer order fulfilment and on time delivery targets are achieved.
  • Complete paperwork and enter data into software to enable tracking of orders.
  • Perform final inspections, cleaning and packaging of parts ready for shipment.
  • Assist other departments regarding inbound deliveries and distribution.
  • Maintain an organised, safe and clean working environment.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels.
  • When required, deliver and/or collect parts from sub‑contractors (using company van).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Strong aptitude with a proactive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Computer literate and familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Comfortable using hand tools such as scissors and Stanley knives.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
  • Export/import and customs knowledge/documentation (desirable, not essential).
  • Prior knowledge of using systems such as SAP (desirable, not essential).
  • A team player who is helpful, flexible and cooperative.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available for this role).
