About us

Led by Hong Zhou MBBS MSc MPH MHFA, Mile Rainbow CIC (MR.

CIC) is a multi-award winning organisation delivering its Emotional Vaccine approach across healthcare, education, workplace and community settings.

Our programmes combine physical, creative and intellectual activities to support mental and physical wellbeing.

Role Overview

We are looking for reliable, adaptable and motivated casual workers to support the delivery and promotion of Mile Rainbow CIC’s Emotional Vaccine sessions.

The position has two principal areas of responsibility: programme support and marketing support.

The successful candidate will assist the Project Lead with session delivery. Duties may include:

  • Welcoming participants.
  • Assisting with registration and feedback forms.
  • Preparing materials and stationery.
  • Assisting with music and other session resources where required.
  • Providing general administrative and practical support.
  • Helping participants understand and follow session activities under the direction of the Project Lead.
  • Helping sessions run safely and smoothly.

When attendance is high, the Project Lead may not be able to provide individual assistance to every participant.

Programme-support staff may therefore be required to help participants follow simple activities, particularly older participants or those who may require additional support.

Any such assistance will be provided under the direction of the Project Lead and within the limits of the worker’s training and competence.

Marketing Support

The role also involves marketing-related duties, which may include

  • Taking photographs and recording video content during sessions, subject to appropriate consent.
  • Undertaking basic photo and video editing.
  • Preparing material for social media and promotional purposes.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills, adapt to unfamiliar tasks, and complete a range of reasonable duties relevant to Mile Rainbow CIC’s programmes and operational needs.
  • Pay and Assignments

The applicable hourly rate for casual assignments ranges from £16 to £25, depending on the nature and responsibilities of the assignment.

We are therefore looking for candidates who are suitable for the combined programme-support and marketing responsibilities and who are willing and able to learn unfamiliar but role-relevant tasks.

, and individuals from a range of educational and professional backgrounds, including digital marketing, media, journalism

, education, health and social care, psychology, public health and business.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
